Job Summary:

The JPK Program Assessor is responsible for evaluating and assessing candidates' competencies within the standards set by the Department of Skills Development (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran, JPK). The assessor ensures that candidates meet the skill and knowledge requirements for various occupational qualifications through objective and fair assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments in line with JPK standards and procedures to evaluate candidates’ skills, knowledge, and competency levels.
  • Plan and organize assessment activities, including scheduling, preparation of materials, and documentation.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidelines to candidates during the assessment process.
  • Review evidence presented by candidates, including practical demonstrations, portfolios, and written assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessment outcomes and provide constructive feedback to candidates.
  • Prepare and submit detailed assessment reports and recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of assessment results and candidate information.
  • Stay updated on current industry practices and JPK guidelines to maintain the quality and relevance of assessments.
  • Collaborate with training providers, industry experts, and other assessors to improve assessment methods and standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and continuous improvement activities as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Relevant academic qualifications or industry-specific certifications in Food Production and Preparation (HT-012-2/3:2012), Office Administration (N821-001-3:2020) and Security Service Operation (DS-010-2/3:2013)
  • Certification: Must hold a valid JPK certification as a certified assessor (e.g., VTO, PPL, or related qualifications).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience/ Graduate TVET-i encourage to apply in industry-specific assessment, training, or quality assurance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using assessment tools, maintaining detailed records, and preparing formal reports.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a capacity to provide clear and objective feedback.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage positively with candidates and stakeholders, demonstrating fairness, respect, and professionalism.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple assessments effectively
  • Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in evaluating evidence and maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
