Job Description:

  • Ensure operation of NPI projects comply with departmental & company policies, product qualification milestone gates and SOPs.
  • Plan, coordinate and allocate resources necessary to ensure on-time and within budget qualification of NPI projects and First Articles submission.
  • Gate keeper for all cross functional communications for quotation preparation and submission.
  • Review and approve customer drawings, bill of materials and material specification for NPI projects.
  • Conduct Design For Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and process capability studies for NPI, make vs. buy analysis as well as capex budgeting.
  • Lead and resolve any technical issues arise during product qualification and FA preparation.
  • Prepare, coordinate & conduct post project review.
  • Lead and manage NPI projects transition to mass production and DFMEA analysis.
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of process flow, BOM, production control plans, process drawing, pilot build requirements and ramp plan for NPI transition to mass production.
  • Gate keeper for customer Engineering Change Request (ECR), and ensure internal documents updated.
  • Work with Production/Manufacturing Engineering to design and develop new jig and fixture for new products and process improvement.
  • Drive cost optimization activities such as lean manufacturing, kaizen, continuous improvement etc.
  • To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
  • Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business with at least 2 years of working experience in handling NPI or process operations in assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge in Process Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Basic exposure in time studies, capacity planning and layout planning.
  • Basic understanding of CAD drawings and step file.
  • Sound knowledge of SPC, CPK, GR&R.
  • Strong hands-on in project management.
  • Ability to work independently, exhibit teamwork and good communication skills.
