The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Customer Marketing Manager, to join our Commercial team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for promotional strategy & review, point of sale and budget, In-store excellence including Planogram analytics and picture of success. In summary, this role is at the heart of bringing to life our activities, understanding our retailer landscape and seamless working across internal stakeholders to maximise our ROI.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Annual Plan - Deliver annual Sales & Marketing Activity Plan (SMAP) to maximise activities through aligning sales & marketing objectives, defining objectives and sales targets and leading monthly SMAP meetings to deliver Full Year result. Lead cycle meetings.
  • Promotional strategy & review – Analyse & Define promotional strategy broken down by account (Depth/Freq/rules) that drives Volume, Value and GP. Responsible with KAM’s to complete timely review of promotions and SMAP activities, take learnings and action
  • Point of Sale – Responsible for design, development, cost out, annual POS planning by activity by account and execution. Manage product sampling & advertising material.
  • Planogram (POG) & OOS – Responsible for analysing and developing POG at Master level then rolling out by account; Responsible for monitoring SKU OOS at store level with KAM’s responsible for actively reducing OOS
  • Budget - Responsible for Trade Marketing budget; realising cost savings to increase campaign coverage; working with agencies to transform our POS effectiveness/usage
  • Shopper Led – Work with internal stakeholders to align in-store messaging complimenting ATL messaging. Drive shopper first thinking to ensure capture shoppers in those 3seconds instore
  • Events – Responsible for brand event, PR event, trade show, or production exhibition in store or outside the store to support marketing strategy and sales potential.
  • Training - Develop beauty assistants (BA), or promotor cheer girls (PC), or merchandisers to ensure stock availability at store level, increase sales out performance, and educate product knowledge to customers.
  • Competitor Activity – Regularly analyse and feedback competitive activity learnings (price, promo, activity, GWP, claim changes etc). Monthly review of market data and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Effective stakeholder management – working seamlessly across Sales, Marketing, Third parties and Finance teams as well as with regional stakeholders and external partners


About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with more than 8 years of experience in trade marketing management or related experience from FMCG or Consumer Health care, skincare/personal care category.

You Will Possess

  • Strong knowledge in Modern Trade Channel and have proven track record in developing and implementing effective promotion strategy.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales out data such as AC Nielsen, egg digital, C-scan.
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members and partners.
  • Ability to effectively frame and present information to senior leadership.
  • Good command in writing and speaking English.
  • Solid experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
  • Willing to travel to up-country occasionally.
