Main Job Purpose:

Identify current and new customers contacting potential needs, provide solution based on the unmet need, closing the sale by agreeing the terms and conditions, and providing an after-sale service. As well as to develop, build and strengthen long-term relationships with relevant stakeholders.


This role is to be based in Melaka, covering the areas around and manages government and private hospital channels.


Job Function:

  • Accountable for the achievement of territorial sales budget so that sales and earnings are maintained and increased, consistent with or better than the Company's objectives through proper execution of the sales and marketing plan and effective control of assigned territories.
  • Working with Sales and Marketing personnel to prepare quotations and proposals, to build up new business and to win tenders/contracts.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
  • Responsible to standby and on-call 24/7 according to the division SOP.
  • Building up new account coverage to further strengthen the current positioning of the Company.
  • Building and sustaining strong network base with customers to have consistent sales growth.
  • Maintain and service existing account to further strengthen the current positioning of the company.
  • Responsibilities in product complain and pharmacovigilance.
    • To compile product complain / adverse drug reaction information and complaint sample
    • To submit the product complaint / adverse drug reaction within stipulated time frame in accordance to the product complaint SOP to the product complaint officer.
  • Be able to adapt to company CRM tools as territory analyses tracking and monitoring tools.
  • Regularly attending industry events, trainings, company meetings, briefings and educational workshops.

Financial

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for both product and territory.
  • Conduct consistent follow-ups on account collections and take full responsibility for the whole process.
  • Ensure expenses are within budget and to always exercise discretion.
  • Planning
  • Prepares clear pre-call and post-call plans according to the KPI set by the department. To have clear objectives when calling at all times and to meet the objectives of the call.
  • Scrub-in surgery ethically and diligently in the surgery according to company and hospital SOP whenever needed by the hospitals and surgeons to achieve the best outcome to the customers and patients.
  • Plan and execute necessary sales and marketing activities that would help in the development of sales.
  • Manage sales prospects and keep creating sales opportunities in a very prolific manner.
  • Submit all required reports to the respective Sales Managers / BUMs on time.
  • Provide accurate article numbers and pricing when preparing quotations and to follow-up on the outcome of the quotations.
  • Provide informative input in CRM before and after sales calls.
  • Track sales based on business opportunities, sales leads and quotations. To also follow through on the overall purchasing process.
  • Consistently provide accurate information for any updating needed in the company system.
  • Consistently updating competitors information which includes organizational chart, business strategy and business alliances.

Managing Relationship – Internal & External

  • Maintain good customer relationships by building trust and credibility with customers.
  • Organize and conduct talks in wards and respective departments.
  • Organize and conduct hospital level talks
  • Capable of handling other task or assignment when assign by superior.
  • Able to work as a team player.
  • Achieve sales target of assigned territory
  • Achieve sales target of key product groups
  • Organize and conduct product conversion activities in assigned hospitals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline preferably in Business or Science
  • Min 3 years of medical sales experience
  • Experiences in Medical Device sector sales & marketing would be an added advantage.
  • Various selling techniques and able to apply / demonstrate it during business / product promotion to customers.
  • Possess a creative, inquisitive and analytical mind.
  • Continuously enhancing and updating oneself on developmental activities in the medical industry.
  • Innovative, aggressive, and self-motivated with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people.
  • Good presentation skills and computer literate as well as proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess own transport and a valid driving license.
  • Willing to travel outstation.
  • Able to interact with customer of all levels.
