Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide management with accurate and timely insights into financial performance.
- Ensure accurate costing of products, including raw material costs, labor, and overhead allocations.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, financial laws, and internal controls.
- Manage periodic audits and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.
- Prepare tax submissions and statutory filings such as /SST/VAT, corporate tax, and employee-related taxes.
Process Improvement
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and execute process improvements to optimize accounting workflows and financial reporting.
- Utilize financial and operational data to recommend cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and train the accounting team to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
- Set individual and team objectives, monitor performance, and conduct periodic appraisals.
- Foster collaboration across departments to align financial goals with company strategies.
Strategic Contribution
- Assist senior management in strategic decision-making by providing financial analyses, trends, and projections.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis for manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure accurate material cost forecasting and inventory control.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and inventory accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
