Nurse (Elder Care Centre)
Role Summary:
The Nurse at the elder care center provides professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care to elderly residents. The role involves assisting with daily health needs, monitoring medical conditions, administering medications, and ensuring the overall well-being and comfort of the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Resident Care:
- Provide nursing care and support to residents, ensuring a high standard of health and hygiene.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming when necessary.
2. Medication Administration:
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report to the physician.
3. Health Monitoring:
- Conduct regular health checks, such as measuring vital signs and observing changes in residents' conditions.
- Update and maintain detailed health records for all residents.
4. Emergency Response:
- Provide immediate first aid or medical care in case of emergencies.
- Coordinate with doctors, emergency services, and families as needed.
5. Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and care staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and caregivers about health updates and care plans.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents.
7. Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices in elder care.
- Guide and mentor junior staff or caregivers as required.
8. Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education and Certification:
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing license (APC) in the relevant state or country.
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in geriatric or elder care nursing (preferred).
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in medical record-keeping and using healthcare software.
- Knowledge of common age-related medical conditions and their management.
4. Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with elderly individuals.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic care environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
