Summary of Role

The role is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial reporting of the Group, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and compliance with listing requirements. It also involves coordinating audits, overseeing taxation matters, and leading the accounting and finance teams. Additionally, the role includes developing the skills of accounting and finance personnel through effective leadership and sharing of expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end and quarterly closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, financial statements, and reports in compliance with the relevant regulations, standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the company's accounting functions.
  • Manage the accounting, tax, financial reporting, and technical advisory matters.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage the audit process for the Group's companies.
  • Liaise with tax agent to manage annual tax submission and transfer pricing engagement.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, and assist in establishing and updating policies, procedures, and operating manuals to promote continuous improvement in efficiency and processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Group’s budget.
  • Monitor performance against the budget, identifying concerns and opportunities, and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that any issues are communicated and addressed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Degree in Accounting / Professional Accounting qualifications or similar.
  • Possess 5 years’ Experience, and exposure in audit firms.
  • Member of MIA will be an added advantage.
  • Possessing strong analytical skills and able to interpret financial data.
  • Understanding the business market environment with entrepreneurial and commercial thinking.
  • Experience in Retail / Convenience Store / FMCG Environment will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at all levels.
