Warehouse Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of poultry products. Implement and maintain proper storage conditions to ensure product quality and safety. Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean, with proper segregation of different product types to prevent cross-contamination. Monitor temperature-controlled storage areas and maintain records of temperature logs. Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate the transportation of poultry products to various destinations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Arrange refrigerated transportation to maintain product freshness and comply with food safety standards. Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations. Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and reliable services. Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory management procedures specific to poultry products. Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situations, considering the perishability of the products. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Utilize inventory management software to track product movement and maintain accurate inventory records. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation for poultry products. Generate reports on inventory status, transportation costs, and warehouse performance. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to food safety, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and transportation of poultry products. Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for warehouse and logistics operations. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues or non-compliance incidents. Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse staff on proper handling and storage of poultry products. Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Address any issues or concerns raised by the team and provide guidance and support as needed. Safety and Hygiene: Ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to hygiene standards to prevent contamination. Cold Chain Management: Manage the cold chain logistics to ensure the integrity and quality of poultry products throughout the supply chain. Monitor and maintain the appropriate temperature during storage and transportation. Implement protocols for handling temperature deviations and emergencies. Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to the delivery and quality of poultry products. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to the logistics process.
