1. Pastry Commis :-

The Pastry Commis assists the Pastry Chef and kitchen team in preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and bread.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed by the Pastry Chef.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and other necessary items and communicate shortages to the Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure all pastries are baked to perfection and meet the restaurant's high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Assist in inventory management and control.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Commis or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and baking techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

2. Pastry Chef :-

We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring exceptional taste and presentation. The Pastry Chef will play a vital role in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and maintaining food quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Develop innovative recipes and update the dessert menu seasonally.
  • Ensure all items are prepared with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Manage inventory, source ingredients, and minimize waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to align with overall culinary objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, decoration, and plating.
  • Creative flair and a passion for creating exceptional desserts.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Culinary school certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation.
